Genosis has developed a revolutionary set of male and female fertility tests for home use.
The product is an OTC single use in vitro diagnostic test; one device screens for male fertility, the other for female fertility.
Both devices utilise established testing methods carried out in fertility laboratories, enabling consumers to test their own fertility, as a couple, in the privacy of their own home.
The male test measures the concentration of motile sperm. This is an established marker of male fertility, and provides information beyond simply a 'sperm count'.
The female test measures the FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) as an indicator of ovarian reserve. High FSH indicates a low number of remaining eggs, and is an indicator for reduced fertility.
The devices are simple to use and have been shown to be highly accurate (>95% accurate when compared to tests run in fertility units).
The male and female devices already have US and EU clearance for OTC sales.
Please visit our US site at www.fertell.com or our UK site at www.fertell.co.uk for more product information.
Market research has been conducted on a global basis to test, develop and establish the most appropriate brand positioning, messaging and distribution points for each market.
In the US over 70% of couples trying to conceive would 'probably' or 'definitely' buy Fertell and 90% of physicians would endorse the product.
In the UK over 70% of couples would use the product within 12 months of starting to conceive and over 90% rated Fertell as helpful.
Fertell will be the first OTC products available at retail that tests both male and female fertility.
